what is a dream....
A self directed movie you watch in your sleep?
somewhere to deposit the days happenings?
a vision you just can't get out of your head?
a desire so strong you can taste it?
Sad but true, my friends who know me well know that I've been dreaming all of the above about hardwood floors for over 9 years! And guess what......
IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING!
(unless of course I'm dreaming, in which case I'd rather you not wake me)
In addition to having my flooring dreams coming true...I have decided to make another long time dream of mine come true too. I have always wanted to take better pictures, but really haven't done much in way of making that happen.
As of late, I have been reading a number of blogs about becoming a better photographer (or in my case, picture taker) and I can't believe how much free information is found through bloggers alone! One in particular is a girl named Darcy who has a super sweet blog called Life with My 3 Boybarians. Darcy has so many wonderful photography tips in a collection of posts called 31 Day Photo Series. She is also graciously hosting Project 52, for those of us who can't possibly do a 365. Head on over to visit Darcy to see what P52 is all about.
So I am diving in head first or feet first..however that goes?? anyhow..I'm going to give it a try and see if I can't figure out how to get my camera to work for me!
Happy Weekend
do something you love!
Oh my! Now that is sooooo exciting!
ReplyDeleteHope your day is blessed
I'm so over the moon! Thanks for stopping in : )
DeleteGlad you are joining! Really like your blog and your interior decorating style. I am working on trying to figure out what mine is!! It's hard to fill a house. I'll be checking back to see your new posts!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your floors! That is so nice. Best wishes with learning to use the camera. It's very rewarding.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I couldn't find a place to comment on your blog? So hopefully you get this...are those your kids in your header? They are GORGEOUS! and I am also dreaming someday to get back to NIKON, so your lens photo hits home.
DeleteCongrats on your floors. We recently bought a house and were pleasantly surprised to discover all hardwoods under the carpet. I love them! Enjoy your journey to taking better photos. It is so rewarding.
ReplyDeleteOh what an awesome discovery that would be! Unfortunately, we had this house built, so we knew the floors would be an undertaking later. Thanks for the visit!
Deletecongratulations!! i have hardwood floors myself so i completely understand the happiness they can bring ;) worth every second of the wait!
ReplyDeleteI actually found out yesterday that under my carpet there are hard wood floors. I just have to rip off the carpet and I have hardwood. That is so cool.
